9th May 2026 at Southern Maltings in Ware, 2-5pm

my first workshop will be running on Saturday 9th May, 2-5pm at Southern Maltings in Ware.  It has a maximum of 8 places to allow me to get round to help everyone.

During this 3 hour workshop you'll start by making a very mini hanger to practice how to use glassline pens (they're essentially powdered glass in a fluid in a bottle with a nib), tjhen adding frits (crushed glass) in different colours and sizes, and confettis (blown glass shards).  Then you'll have 2 pieces of clear glass and create your own flower design using the same techniques, and a little bit of glass cutting if you wish to add extra foliage.  My designs you've seen generally have just the glassline, frits and confettis but cutting glass is fun too!  The 2 pieces will be fired as a front and back with a metal hanger so you'll end up a with a beautiful hanging flower panel approx 8 x 21cm.  This will be ready to collect in 2 weeks from Southern Maltings.  If you can't get there then please let me know and I can post the work out to you at cost.
